Make the records tell a clearer story.

A financial report is hard to trust when the records behind it disappear from view. OOG built Ledger Walk’s review and reporting workspace to connect documents, reviewed information and the report they support.

OOG’s contribution: Financial-evidence information architecture and interface, reviewed intake and reconciliation workflows, purpose-specific reporting, document provenance, package drafting/sealing and local recovery tools.

Let’s talk about your project

Ledger Walk is a private prototype for organizing financial records and preparing reports for specific needs. The work connects reviewed intake and retained documents with reconciliation, report previews and package preparation. Sealing and audit activity keep a record of the prepared package. The same reviewed source ledger supports General, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, IRS, California FTB, loan and custom report contexts. These are purpose-specific working views within one application, not separate financial stores. Household and reporting-period controls keep the selected context visible while documents, classifications and missing evidence are reviewed.

What we built

Web application · Interface design

A deliberate financial workspace connects reviewed intake to reports, retained documents and finished packages. Reconciliation views, package preview and sealing, and an audit trail keep the operating flow visible and accountable. A dark-green workspace separates source cash movement from report interpretation. Evidence links connect documents, entries, reports and packages; staged previews and explicit review steps keep intake, assistant suggestions and package preparation inspectable before a change is accepted.

  • Reviewed intake & document retention
  • Package preparation, sealing & audit activity
  • Report-specific context and evidence details
  • Editable package drafts and retained source selections
  • Revision-checked local changes and recovery tools
  • Staged assistant review and optional reviewed Sheets copies

Follow the number back to the record.

Cash movement and report totals stay distinct, with the underlying records close at hand.

From reviewed intake to a finished package.

Retained documents feed review and reconciliation before figures enter a purpose-specific report. Package preview lets the operator inspect what will be included; sealing and audit activity preserve a record of the prepared package.

Review the change before accepting it.

Document intake stages a preview of retained files, parsed rows, overlaps and new entries. The operator acknowledges that exact preview before acceptance. Categorization and report-specific treatment stay reviewable, while source documents remain close to the figures they support.

A package with its context intact.

Package drafts bring together report context, editable sections, selected evidence and signature fields. Preview shows the output and retained-source summary; sealing checks the data and draft revisions and records the package version and output hashes. Preparation, download and external submission remain separate steps.

Keep the record under operator control.

The workspace includes activity history, retained-document provenance, local backups and isolated restore rehearsal. Reviewed offline changes apply together or reject on conflict. Optional assistant work stays staged for review, and a Sheets copy remains separate from the authoritative local ledger.
