Make the research traceable. Keep it moving.
OOG built FindYourVote’s voter-facing experience and the research workflows behind it, connecting candidate and ballot information with source evidence, coverage questions and review.
OOG’s contribution: Voter-facing ballot, candidate and issue interfaces; public-record source acquisition and provenance tools; evidence and formula review, research/admin dashboards, operator cockpit and record-linked follow-up workflows.
FindYourVote helps voters compare candidates and ballot questions through their priorities and public-record evidence. The OOG project includes the voter-facing website, source-acquisition and evidence-review tools, and an operator cockpit connecting coverage questions with jurisdiction, publisher and candidate records.
Voter-information research gets difficult when coverage, sources and outstanding issues are scattered.
What we built
Website · Web application · Civic information design · Research workflows · Operator tools
An evidence-led civic interface makes candidates, issues and ballot measures easier to explore. Behind the public experience are source-acquisition tools, review workflows and an operator cockpit for keeping the underlying information traceable.
A summary count leads to the underlying publisher record. Missing evidence stays distinct from a true zero, and follow-up remains tied to the selected source.

A public experience built around priorities.
Explore issue priorities, candidate navigation and ballot measures together in the public website design.
Open the number. Find its source.
Open the jurisdiction count to see Cedar County’s publisher row. Follow Mira Vale’s candidate and office fields into the source snapshot, with missing receipts kept visible.
Keep the issue attached to the record.
Search “Vale”, select Mira and flag the filing fact or dated Cedar snapshot. The feedback keeps the candidate and source together for the next review.
The research operation behind the ballot.
Candidate, issue and ballot-measure views are supported by acquisition tools and evidence repositories. The operator cockpit connects coverage questions to jurisdiction, publisher and source records so missing information and corrections can be reviewed where they belong.
